I created this blog site because I am trying to get help for people who are willing to give a cent for the hearing aid of my daughter.
I have a daughter named Kassandra Ghiege Arreza Ocanada. She was born on November 7, 2009. As of April 12, 2011, Kassandra is now 1 year and 5 months old. She was born deaf and she badly needs a pair of hearing aid to be able to hear.
My angel was diagnosed with moderate hearing loss on the left ear and right ear. According to Phonak, moderate hearing loss cannot hear soft and moderately loud noises. Understanding speech becomes very difficult if background noise is present.
I am Grace C. Arreza, the mother of Kassandra Ghiege Arreza Ocanada, asking for your help to support this campaign and let my angel hear and become a normal child like others. Kassandra is a happy and very sweet child. She dance, she laugh a lot, crawl, play, trying to walk and going round and round like the other children do. The only thing she is lacking is the ability to hear and talk which is a big thing in child's learning.
After some hearing tests, the doctor told us that she'll be able to hear by the help of hearing aids. We went to Manila Hearing Aid here in Cebu branch and asked for the price of a pair of hearing aid. A pair of hearing aid costs 106, 000 PHP and in US dollars, the price is propably $2400 plus. This price shocks us all. We thought that it was affordable but we were wrong. This makes my heart broke apart knowing that we can impossibly buy a pair of it to make Kassandra able to hear.
I am just a blogger making some money out of my blogs for living. My partner is a laborer who only have enough wage for our daily needs including the needs of the kids' such as milk, diapers and others. We can't even pay our debts, how much more in buying a pair of hearing aid which is very expensive.
Even though we are not able to buy her "even" one hearing aid for her one ear, I am still hoping that God will make a way so that she can be able to hear. I am praying that there are people who have big hearts that are willing to share their blessings to our little angel who is in a great need of a device which can make her hear.
Few generous people have already send their love for my daughter. Please proceed to Donors to know who the people who helped Kassandra and how much they've contributed to her. I created a page for the donors so that you will have a track of how much we earned for her hearing aid so far. We, my family and specially me, are thankful to those people who trust and helped us for the sake of my daughter's hearing cure.

Bainy Cyrus, the founder of the group "We Are Deaf but We Can" in facebook and the author of the book "All Eyes", gave me 3 copies of the books for free to help me learn sign language and so that I can teach Kassandra with the sign languages I learn from her book. A book where you can learn about the deaf world and her experiences and success of being a profoundly deaf in both deaf and hearing world. It is a big thing for me because finally, I have an alternative way to communicate my daughter more clearly while waiting for the funds to be completed for her hearing aid. I owe you my life for this Ms. Bainy. Thank you very much for your generosity.
